Hi! Welcome to my home bakery!
My name is Katy and I run Top Shelf Cookies & Treats with my daughters, Gina, Isabel, and Julia, by my side. When I had my first baby, I knew I needed to learn to bake and decorate treats so I could make all the fun treats for her and her future siblings. My youngest sister took a local cake decorating course with me at our local craft store back in 2003, and my passion was ignited!
I started by baking and decorating for my little girls. Over the years, friends and family would tell me, “You need to start a business!” I always dreamed of it, but felt like it was out of my reach and chose the “safe” path of law instead.
Fast forward to the summer of 2022 to the open house for my daughter, Isabel. Everyone raved at our cookies, and I decided it was time to make the leap. The very next day I went online to form my LLC. The rest, as they say, is history, as I quickly became too busy to maintain my full-time job as a paralegal and made the leap to bake full-time, quitting law in August 2023.
I am so grateful for so many friends who believed in me and have cheered me on and customers who have now become friends and helped to grow this bakery, sharing our treats with their families and friends. Baking for you with my daughters by my side is absolutely my dream come true, and I am beyond thankful for all of YOU who make that happen for us!
Hands down, the best bakery! I’ve ordered multiple times and I’m always impressed. The cookies are delicious. The owner is so nice and very responsive! Highly recommend.
